PRAYER UPDATE. JULY. 2021. Haute Rivoire, France 

Bonjour prayer-partners,  
 
At the annual 2-night independent Baptist conference in July on the End Times one of the themes is found in Isa 8:12-13.  Samaria has made a confederacy with Syria to attack Judah.  This confederacy was to create fear in Judah and to conquer Judah.  “Say ye not, A confederacy, to all them to whom this people shall say, A confederacy; neither fear ye their fear, nor be afraid.  Sanctify the LORD of Hosts himself; and let him be your fear, and let him be your dread.”  Isa 8:12-13. The concern for the USA 2020 elections, the Coronavirus with its vaccination, the difficulty of travel, insecurity of the economy all these concerns and even more can create fear in us.  And doubt for the future.   On July 6 I started a tour in France with a 3 day visit in Switzerland-CH.  I planned to visit believers, distribute tracts and poster Bible posters.  The first 2 nights I stayed in camping.  Stopping in the rest stops I witnessed  to a Dutch couple who refused the tract.  In the Bourges camp I met a couple from Spain who had come to France looking for work.  There was a limited witness.  In the morning I gave a German a tract that spoke of the mask people wear which caused her to smile.  On the way to the next camp site I stopped in a village to distribute.  While distributing I found a large wall poster.  At the next camp provided free by the city I talked to workers there especially the man renting boats & bicycles.  A fisherman got a witness, he was my fish!     On the way to the Baptist conference I found 3 posters.  The messages and the fellowship were a great encouragement.  A volunteer worker for  Literature Mission received about 250 posters.  He has a friend who wants posters.    I visited Fred Frank and there was good fellowship around the Word and concern for the present political issues.  Leaving Fred on my way to John & Ginnette Massinchaud I stopped in Feurs for a distribution.  John invited Marcelin & Lisane Nkanka for a meal.  Marcelin will put up  posters in Vichy area.  July 14 was France’s Independence Day.     July 16-19 was spent with Jean-Paul Burgat and his small church.  The church has been witnessing to the husband of a faithful member for years (30?).  Bernard was recently saved!  Sister Germain has three sons, 2 have recently been baptized and the third is nearing salvation.  Then I went to Switzerland-CH.  Good fellowship with Donald & Violette Gyger.  Jan is a Syrian the Gygers have witnessed to for years.  He was baptized.  He is of Christian background.  Don & Violette will go to Israel July 25 for 3 weeks.  Violette is from Nazareth.   July 23-? Returning to France.  I have no set plan.  I wish to arrive in Athis-Mons by Aug. 6, God willing.  Sept.9 I am due to have cataract & retna surgery at Cochin Hospital in Paris with Dr. Mathieu Lehman.    My second finger on right hand, 3 fingers from thumb is painful and does not normally respond when I open a clenched fist.   The cataract on my right eye does hinder my sight and driving.
