PRAYEhR UPDATE OCT-DEC. 2015                                             Shefelah (vale  KJV Deut 1:7), ISRAEL

Shalom Chaverim (friends),

I came back from my blessed trip in USA in mid May2015 and had 2 weeks to get my affaires done as I would go for 3 months to East Europe.  I again had trouble with my papers for the National Health Insurance.  It was an encouragement to be back in fellowship with my home church in Longjumeau.  What a joy to hand out literature again in France and Muslims are still open.  I live in an area of many schools of all ages and literature especially goes to mothers collecting their children from school. Most of the women are Muslims.  God graciously provided for a Renault-Trafic utility van.  Br. Guy Loiret put in the insolation and wood for the roof and put in a bed.  I was late this year for the summer tour so I combined my trip to Switzerland-CH with my leaving for East Europe.  I was able to teach in the small church in Saone, FR with Jean Paul Burgat.  This church supports my ministry as does the church of Hans Rufenact in Bienne, CH.  From CH I went to Germany-D to visit Dieter Rheinbold.  He is a driving instructor who uses his motorcycle skills to bring together motorcyclists for a Bible Conference.  He is also active in his Baptist church.  I had to go back to France because again my papers were not right for the National Health Insurance.    As usual I got my literature in D and went to WOLD near Munich.  Irmgard Krauter again gave me many things to give away along the way and I used some for myself.   It is always a joy to distribute them.  I was able to get to WOLHU near Budapest, HU on Friday so I could be among the Jews on Saturday morning.  An older Jew came out of the synagogue and I offered him Rose Warner’s biography.  Its name in English, The Journey by Myrna Grant.  She was a Hungarian Jew that received Jesus Christ as her Savoir before WW11 and she voluntarily went to Auschwitz. She told me many Jewish women were saved.   When the old Jew realized I did not speak Hungarian, Hebrew flowed from his heart.  He told his story how the SS Troops cane to his house during WW11 and took his parents and they were taken to Auschwitz and never returned.  I explained about Rose.  When his wife came she tried to get him to give me back the book, I think he did, but soon the book was back in his hands.  Then the grandson came to pick them up and he told his grandfather to give back the book,  but he refused to let it go. I felt God had spoken to this Jew, especially as he reviewed his parents tragedy.   I had been in a conversation in French with another man who was not a Jew and the Jews were coming out of the synagogue and just at the right moment the man said that is enough and left, and so I was free to approach this old Jew.  In Romania I was near the synagogue in Bucharest talking to a Romanian in French.  There were Jews next to us so impolitely I turned from the man and spoke to the Jews.  I offered The Forbidden Chapter by Solomon Ostrovsky in Hebrew.  It is about Is 53.  He asked “Why is it forbidden?”  I said because it talks about the Messiah.  This was sufficient for him.

My first priority in RO was to see a dentist.  Pastor Peter Beltechi an Independent Baptist of Beius told me of an Ind. Baptist pastor in Cluj whose wife is a dentist.  I went to Cluj to Dr. Laura Lariu & her husband Binyamin.  I was blessed to see their church in action with summer activities to reach the unchurched youth.  Dr. Lariu put in half the first implant.  I must go back to get 4 more half implants early in Feb. 2016, then again to finish in Aug.    I then went to Ovidiu & Nely Domnariu in Cisnedia.  They are great helpers in the camp with the Mioveni church.  Ovidiu received land from his municipality to build a house.  That is his job to build houses but he has little time to work on his own.  By Nov. 24 he has made progress.  I visited Ovidiu’s church.  It is a joy to revisit the churches where I have ministered and to see how they continue in their faith.  Then a morning visit with Gusti Rusian in Medias.  Gusti & his wife Geni run Samuel House which produces literature for youth.  They have their own printing press.  His daughter was having summer sessions with children about 10 years old.  The morning I came was USA DAY!   So the children met an American that day.  I met Geni in1988 in Medias.  After Gusti I went to John (I met in Camp Mahanaim in 1988) & Dina Poenar in Rasnov and as usual we visited churches in the evenings.   I shared on the Trinity in Kreider church and in the Bran church.   I would be teaching Is 58-61 in the Mioveni camp in Aug. so  I shared from Is 58 & 59 in Brasov area.  It was impressive to see the progress on the center for gypsies in Bod.  I was glad to renew fellowship with Ioan Paraschivu who is working on the Bod Center.  Ioan P. shared once again how he was healed of serious diabetes by diet.  I wanted to go north in RO before camp.  I went to Piatra Namets to be with Nelu & Nela Timofthe.  I preached in the Sunday evening service.  It had been a few years since I visited Zenovia in Baia but I met her this trip.  A translator came and the local pastor of the believing church in the village.  Zenovia’s son from Italy has returned due to lack of work.  He is Florin and has a wife.  He said it was too bad I did not speak Romanian because if Michael did he could tell us truth.  I then went to Iasi to be with Nelu Anton.  Nelu has had a stroke so he no longer makes trips alone to Moldova-MD.  We went to MD carrying humanitarian aid and literature.  We visited church families, all of which had at least 9 children.  In a home of 13 children the refrigerator was no good.   The oldest child was a son of 15.  In Nov. a new large refrigerator was given to this family by Nelu Aton.  We went to a summer camp and the children were all under 13.  There were 240!  It was missionary emphasis week and the missionary scheduled to be that day could not come.   I spoke to them for an hour.  There was translation into Romanian & Russian.  They were very attentive for such a young group.

Camp Rucar with the Mioveni church was again a blessing.  My utility van was jam packed as we left the church for the mountains around Rucar.  I have been meeting here with this same church for 11 or 12 years.  I have been teaching Isaiah and praise God I finished Is 61.  I was glad to start this summer with Is 58 teaching about fasting.  I look forward to teaching Is 62 which is God’s plea for believers to remember Jerusalem in their prayers.  I was encouraged to see that a family has come each of the 11 or 12 years.  The elders in the church wanted at least teen agers or older in this camp.  I am thankful for the cooperation of several to keep the camp running so it is a blessing to the young people.

After a visit to Bucharest I entered Bulgaria-BG.  I visited my friends in Russe, BG, Darin & Bishop George.  I always park at the church as it is a walled in compound. I spoke in a mid week meeting on Israel.  I visited the Baptist pastor Ivalro (?).  He is working for a believer from Holland who has established a business in Russe which helps local believers.   Br. Ivalro is completing his Master’s degree on the Baptist Church of Russe. I spoke Sunday morning in the Baptist church of Plovdiv with Pastor Stoico Nicovi.   I was blessed again to pass by the Muslims living in between Plovdiv & Sandansky, distributing.  In Sandansky I met Pastor Dimtir Podgarsky of Baptist Church.  They finally have opened their hospital.  In Greece I met Yiotis & Linda Snopidis.  Yiotis had a stroke and therefor rented out his farm.  I distributed in their town Katterini.  It was sad to see many stores closed due to the financial crisis.  The strict requirements of the EU have put much financial pressure on the Greeks.  On my way back to France I visited in Hunadora, RO I saw Pastor Michael Czenty.  He has had serious complications after his appendix burst.  I gave a series of lessons in his Independent Baptist church on fasting this summer.  I returned the usual route of HU, HR, SLO, IT, CH and FR with God’s protection.

I had one month to prepare for three months in Israel.  I had to reapply for the National Health Insurance, and I had 2 visits to a heart specialist.  He said my heart was all right.  Before coming to Israel on Oct. 6 Jesus helped me to solve the problem of the papers of my Ford van I gave to brother Florin in RO in 2006.  I had been once to the vehicle registration office and was told to bring the van back to France.  I hesitated to go again but Florin had been asking me to de-register the van in France.  Finally, I went to the office and to my surprise it was easily done!    Now Florin must do what he can.

I began my time in Israel in the Shefelah near to the valley of Elah where David fought Goliath.  1 Sam 17:1  I then went to Jerusalem to meet believers I know.  I renewed fellowship with Slomo & Karina Hoisman who continue in their reading of the Bible together and in attendance in their local church.  I walked the streets of Jerusalem and witnessed as I went.  A Muslim university student asked to know the way to God.  My Jewish friend Kenny A. had heart surgery and is now recovering.  I attended services at the Jerusalem Assembly where Meno Kalisher is pastor.  I met Benjamin the evangelist from Ethiopia and he now has 7 children!  Mary Kilbride who came to Israel in 1962 from Scotland retired recently at 89 to southern England.  In Tiberius I met a Muslim who wanted to know the right way to God.  I enjoyed distributing on the streets of Haifa & Jerusalem.  I meet with Irene Levy who came to Israel in 1948 and she is now 96!  I will leave Israel on Jan. 6. Thanks for your prayers and financial offerings.  I am due in RO early in Feb. for dental care & a conference on fasting.   Ruth 2:12
