PRAYER LETTER SEPTEMBER TO DECEMBER 2020 ATHIS-MONS, FR updated Feb. 9,2021

Dear Prayer Partners,

For me it was an intense time during the presidential election period. We were encouraged to keep our eyes on Jesus Christ whatever the results. Hebs 12:2 “Looking unto Jesus…”. May we continue in prayer for the Joe Biden administration & for Donald Trump. I see our situation in Philip 2:15. “That ye may be blameless and harmless , the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world.” I was encouraged by Bible messages found on the internet. My church is allowed 60 in the service and the message is shown on Zoom. I gave some Zoom messages to Romania-RO on Ezkl 33-34. I challenged the elders to care for and feed their flock and not themselves (Ezkl 34:2) and for all believers to hear the words & do them. Ezkl 33:32 Costica Marariu of RO passed away Jan. 27, 2021. He was very active in church work and evangelism before the Revolution in Dec. 1989. I spoke in his summer camp in 1988 and he was fined for having a foreign teacher in his camp. He distributed a very large number of Romanian Bibles during the Communist rule. He was active in church planting and establishing until his death. His vision is carried on by others, especially his daughter Christine’s family.. I put up Bible posters. Some of them stayed for weeks and even for months. Tracts were distributed and Bible meditation calendars and another style calendars with a verse for every day. At the checkout in a grocery store the cashier was happy to get a Bible meditation calendar. I am still handing out calendars. Feb. 9 Today I got 50 more. Today I gave a calendar in Turkish. I have in Tamil for those from Sri Lanka, and Portuguese and Arabic & Persian. The Sri Lankans near me are Roman Catholics. In my last prayer letter I mentioned Pastor Hans Rufenacht of Switzerland and his leukemia. Hans passed away. I recently talked to Sylvie his widow and she has all the help she needs. Her church picks her up for the services. Hans was the pastor and now brothers in the church carry on the ministry. I mentioned also Christian Payet. I saw him on Jan. 4 on a two-week tour in France. He is divorced and caring for 4 children. I have known Christian since 1992. He is in need of prayer. Dec. 23 to Jan. 4 - Tour in France. In Vichy I gave posters to a brother Marceline for him to post. I celebrated the birth of Christ with the Massincauds in Vichy who are with Friends of Israel. While there I gave a teaching on the birth of the Messiah on Zoom to RO. On Christmas Day John, Ginette M. & I listened to Lehman Strauss on the INCARNATION-Jesus Christ became a man. God in the Person of His Son identified Himself completely with man. “great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh…”. 1 Tim 3:16. “ And the word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten or the Father,) full of glory and truth.” John 1:14. I preached his message by Zoom to RO & in a church in Gien, FR on Jan. 3. On this tour I visited Fred & Nelly Frank. Fred & I enjoy talking about Israel, the Bible & current events especially what is happening in USA. In between Christmas& New Years my 8-piece implant fell out and I had to go to Lyon to be with a dentist. I enjoyed giving out the Bible calendars in Lyon. I went to near Orleans to be with Walter & Marie Christine Streiff who are retired missionaries and are living their retirement in ministry. Marie Christine continues her work with youth making many videos for teaching them. Walter pastors in Gien and thee I taught the INCARNATION. I arrived back in Athis-Mons in time for my annual cardiologist exam. Dr. Depret found nothing alarming. Each visit he takes literature. In spite of Coronavirus people do take tracks and a few stop to talk. I try to keep in contact with some whom I normally meet on my travels by phone. I saw several doctors during the Coronavirus period and I believe their advice has been of help. I have had a swollen prostate since 1990 and I am presently under care for the prostate.
