PRAYER UPDATE
March 30, 2009 Athis-Mons, France
Dear prayer partners,
I have started to drive so it
is time to get another info letter out. I recently returned from
Switzerland. A friend drove and I was able to get 25 kilograms of
literature. (=55 lbs.) People at church Sunday (March 22) said I
look better. I have not had a dizzy spell since Nov. 25 when in
Israel. My eye doctor said my eyes have not changed since before my
2 strokes. Double vision can occur. It also happened before the
strokes. I have started driving, but only locally. I will try a
longer trip Monday (Mar 30-31) to visit Marcel Robillard who is 92
and a prayer partner. I have my prayer days once a week as usual.
I walk and give out tracts. Some stop to talk. I do spend time
with Pierre B. We eat together at the retired people's lunch.
($5.63 per meal). Pierre had a Jewish mother and he is Catholic. A
Jew who lives near me I get to talk to from time to time. He a few
days ago asked about Marry. He heard she had children before
Jesus. I explained she was a virgin when Jesus was born, but had
children later. Matt 12:46-50, Matt 13:55-56 My church will soon
baptize 11 or 12. They give lessons before baptizing. A young man
in my church named Laurnet (?) has talked about traveling with me.
In May he starts training for a new job. I enjoy handing out tracts
in various languages. I gave an Arabic tract today. Turkish and
Portuguese tracts are taken and Chinese as well.
I am preparing for a trip of
11` days (April 3-14) to put up Biblical posters and visit believers
in France. It will be a test to see how I am for long traveling. I
will preach in Tours on April 5 on Palm Sunday. After going to
Israel April 20 to June 2, I will then stop off in Czech June 2-5
then back to France. I stopped off in Czech on my way back to
France on Dec 31, 08. I stayed with Peter Zeman an old friend since
1990. He has Parkinson’s. A trip is planned to Romania June 15 to
Aug 10. I plan then to come to USA about August 20 for 10 months.
Php 1:12 But I would ye should
understand, brethren, that the things which happened unto me have
fallen out rather unto the furtherance of the gospel;
Michael K. is a young man in my
church who is doing evangelism. I have gone out with him in
evangelism. His group gave out 80 Bibles March 27. I have started
putting up Bible signs. I put one up today by a synagogue and a
Mosque. The Baptist brother Jean Bailleux who visited me in Israel
last year had me preach at his church in Belgium.
Passover is April 9-16. 1Co
5:7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump,
as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for
us. Let us pray for the salvation of Jewish people. I pray God’s
blessings on those Christians who have Passover meals to show
Christians & Jews Christ in the Passover.
Zach 9:9 has been fulfilled!
"Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem:
behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation;
lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass."
Christians not of Jewish families
can rejoice as well for the Messiah has come also to us through the
preaching of the gospel.
A blessed remembrance of Christ’s
sufferings for all and His resurrection,
1 Cor 15:3-5 3 For I delivered
unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ
died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and
that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
5 And that he was seen of Cephas,
then of the twelve.
